The chemical analysis conducted using X-ray fluorescence revealed that Rigishi River sand has S</em><em>1</em><em>O</em><em>3</em><em>&nbsp;(93.5%) TiO</em><em>2</em><em>&nbsp;(1.43%) and Fe</em><em>2</em><em>O</em><em>3</em><em>&nbsp;(2.85%) as its &nbsp;predominant oxides. &nbsp;Mechanical properties results obtained showed that it has; green compressive strength (33.90KNm</em><em>2</em><em>), &nbsp;&nbsp;dry compressive strength (246.43 KNm</em><em>2</em><em>) , moisture content(3.80%), permeability &nbsp;(153.16KNm</em><em>2</em><em>) and refractoriness of &nbsp;1586</em><em>0</em><em>C. &nbsp; From the results it was found that 5% of water and 5% Naraguta clay content were most suitable for mouldingRigishi River sand for applicati</em></p> admin admin Copyright (c) 2022 Journal of Science, Engineering and Technology https://gojournals.gouni.edu.ng/index.php/Philosophy/article/view/1 Fri, 16 Sep 2022 00:00:00 +0000
